Czech Armchair

Czech is an armchair designed by Hermann Czech for Gebruder Thonet Vienna Brand. In succession with the refined sinuosity of the LEHNSTUHL lounge chair and the BODYSTUHL chair, Nigel Coates presents the CAFÉSTUHL chair, a new original reinterpretation with a contemporary twist of the Thonet tradition. Extremely comfortable and ergonomic, it is distinguished by the sculptural backrest with an anthropomorphic character that recalls the typical triangular shape of the shoulder blades. Designed to furnish domestic environments with a strong and ideal character in contract spaces, this elegant proposal incorporates the characteristic serpentine work of the under-seat, an element common to all the pieces signed by the British designer for GTV.
