Constantin Centerpiece

The Constantin Centerpiece, designed by Agustina Bottoni for Colè, has a base in solid oak and a round top in Canaletto walnut. The cast bronze handle gives a material and precious aspect to the collection. The gift box is contained in an elegant silver-colored box. The Constantin collection owes its name to its inspiration. It is in fact the modern art by Constantin Brancusi who guided the designer's hand to conceive candlesticks, bookends, containers and centerpieces in wood, marble and brass. Taking up Brancusi's ability to represent the essence of things with a high degree of abstraction, Agustina Bottoni modeled the candlesticks and bookends thinking of the columns and bases of Brancusi's famous sculptures. For the container and the centerpiece she was instead inspired by the works in which the almost raw solid wood is contrasted with the shiny and mirrored metal.
