CH78 is a lounge chair designed by Hans J. Wegner and re-proposed by Carl Hansen. Hans J. Wegner designed the CH78 in 1954, known affectionately as the Mama Bear Chair as an extension of the CH71 "Mini Bear" chair, also designed by the Danish designer, but in 1952. The concept of the CH78 is based on the fusion of sinuous rounded shapes with linear and dynamic geometries and refined details, such as the typical wooden armrests in the shape of "claws". Although the armchair is visually light, it is at the same time very soft in fact its contemporaneity is also expressed through the very high level of comfort capable of giving, both to the neck and back, encouraging the user to relax and rest.
