The Coryphée voile expresses itself across a large width, thereby symbolising the movement of the Corps de Ballet, comprising more than 150 dancers. Second level in the hierarchy of the Paris Opera dancers, before becoming a Principal, the Coryphée (Soloist) leads the Corps de Ballet, occasionally performing very short solo roles.
