Carlotta is an outdoor armchair by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Cassina. Structure in natural teak, back and seat in Mamba rope, cushions in weatherproof fabric. Scarpa investigated the production process in order to simplify it in this project, making Carlotta a perfect product for mass production. Carlotta is an armchair designed in 1967 for the Cassina Young Play program, aimed at a young audience. From the collaboration with Scarpa, Cassina revises Carlotta and develops it for outdoor environments. The natural teak structure is skilfully combined with the warm shades of the intertwined cords of the backrest and the upholstery of the soft cushions.
