C-Chair is a chair designed by Marcel Gascoin and revived by Gubi. Available in three finishes for the wooden structure. Although Marcel Gascoin designed this chair in 1947, its main characteristics, essential elegance, functionality and great comfort, make C-Chair an exceptionally vital and contemporary design element. C-Chair was born from the need to create an innovative seat capable of adapting to the narrow houses built in France immediately after the war; its refined elegance as an expression of timeless craftsmanship allows it to adapt perfectly to private contexts such as living rooms, kitchens and dining rooms. Its expressive visual language between its strength from the combination of the wooden structure with the seat and back made of hand-woven paper. The Gascoin collection to which the C-Chair is part also includes S-Table and B-Table, both made of wood; the possibility of customization enjoyed by these products allows them to adapt and coexist with different styles both in private homes and in offices.
