Brutus Stool

Brutus Stool is a piece of furniture produced by Scandinavian brand 101 Copenhagen, designed in 2021 by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl together with an entire collection inspired by the Brutalist architectural movement.Brutus Stool, and the entire collection of which it is a part, are made of cement fibre, a compact and lightweight material with great strength. Brutus owes its name to the stylistic current that in the 20th century favoured aesthetic canons based on powerful volumes created with large, exposed concrete surfaces of great material impact. The severe appearance, moderated by hinted curves, does not compromise its enjoyability, ensuring maximum seating comfort. Each seat is hand-painted with the intention of creating a surface that is irregular to the eye, allowing the light to highlight its particular spatulate texture.Hand-painted fibre cement stool.
