Bonaparte Chair

Bonaparte is a chair created by designer Eileen Gray in 1935 and re-affirmed by Classicon brand. Frame in chromed steel tube. The seat has a beech frame with rubber straps. Padding: polyurethane with quilting cotton. in fabric or leather.Bonaparte is one of the rare cases in which the luxurious comfort of an upholstered chair has been successfully combined with a tubular steel frame. The result communicates both ease and convenience. Actually conceived as a piece for drawing rooms, Eileen Gray found Bonaparte so pleasant that she used for decades as her chair in her Paris home at Rue Bonaparte.
