Block Lamp was introduced in 1997, it has received numerous awards become a modern classic. Designed by Harri Koskinen for Design House Stockholm. Block Lamp was designed during a workshop at the University of Helsinki, the subject was to design a gift for a wedding. A lamp simple, yet original and unusual, also it part of MoMA's permanent collection in 2000. Each part of the lamp is hand cast and undergoes an extremely long cooling process to avoid cracking in the event of forta temperature changes. The bulbous shape mat is sanded.
