This iconic armchair was first launched as the F562 and was relaunched today as the Big Mushroom. Made in different coatings to meet your needs. The idea for the mushroom came to Pierre Paulin as he looked at women, modeled and dressed in their bathing suits. He wanted the same thing for a session. The inspiration was found in the beautiful curves and in the one-piece elastic fabric of the seamless costumes. Big Mushroom is the first piece of furniture made using a seamless one-piece elastic coating method. Its original shape will mark the furniture of the 60s inspiring many other creations with sculptural forms. Today, the venue is part of the permanent collection of MoMa (The Museum of Modern Art in New York).
