Barro is a tray with feet designed by Sebastian Herkner for the Ames brand. Made of black ceramic. Barro trays are heat resistant and can be used both indoors and outdoors.Barro is a range of unique and high-quality ceramics, produced for Ames according to traditional ceramic crafts in small family-run factories located in the Colombian province of Tolima. The ceramics are created entirely by hand, from the digging from to the excavation of the holes to extract the black clay to combustion and polishing. For his projects, Sebastian Herkner was inspired in particular by the archetypal forms of artefacts shown in the Gold Museum in Bogota. The result is a range of pots and bowls that can also be used as plant containers. Barro trays are available in two sizes.
