Amoebe Armchair High-back was created by Verner Panton in 1970 for the famous Visiona installation, which included several versions of this lounge piece and reminds, for its vivid colors and soft shapes the 70's.It is a marvelous example of close-to-the-floor lounge furniture and embodies the spirit of the early 1970s. Amoebe Highback has a flexible backrest that curves over the head of the sitter, forming a sculptural canopy. In this way, Amoebe Highback creates a sense of shelter and seclusion - especially in large, open spaces.
