Crafted in refined solid birch, 60 Stool by Artek was conceived in 1933 by the illustrious designer Alvar Aalto.Thanks to its simple, refined and brilliant figure, 60 Stool has become a design icon. Exclusively manufactured in Finland in 42 production steps, 60 Stool by Artek features a solid birch structure with round seat and three curved legs that are mounted directly to the underside of the stool. Its simple geometry radiates a simple and surprisingly versatile power, making it equally suitable not only as a seat, but also as a table or display surface. Handy and functional, the stool can be stacked to save space producing an extraordinary “spiralling tower sculpture”.
