553 Bowy is a modular sofa system designed by Patricia Urquiola for the Cassina brand. A project inspired by the 70s with rounded but decisive lines for the highest level of comfort. The 553 Bowy by Patricia Urquiola is a modular sofa with a playful but decisive silhouette, with soft and welcoming curves marked by a profile that lightly draws the line of the seat. Cassina's craftsmanship excellence is highlighted by the details, especially in the padded seams that outline the shapes of the various elements and in the rounded armrest that joins the protruding backrest. The sofa, inspired by the 70s, is made up of individual modules conceived as small sculptures to be used also separately. The metal structure, with variable density injected polyurethane foam and dacron upholstery, ensures a comfortable and generous seat. The combination possibilities are many and the system is completed with tables that reflect the rounded shapes of the sofa, combining the lacquered structure with the elegant materiality of the wooden top.
