An important piece of Cassina's collection, the Cab chair dates back to the golden age of Italian design. Project from 1977, signed by Mario Bellini, who achieved international fame with this famous seat.Capable of characterizing a decade, Cab has long remained the successful chair. Proposed without armrests or in the armchair version, it is made of tubular steel and completely covered in leather. The covering is composed of 16 different leather parts: die-cut one by one, they face 14 successive manual processes. The individual cut parts are in fact sewn together only after having undergone a process of skiving the portions to be coupled to avoid excessive thickness. Finally the covering is put on a steel skeleton and closed with zippers, just like a tailor-made suit is worn.
