1919 takes its cue from model 128, which made its debut in Renzo Frau's 1919 catalog. The 128 reproduced the opulent features of rococo armchairs. Seasoned solid beech wood structure. Seat, backrest, and armrest suspension with hand-tied steel-springs connected to jute belts. The present-day version of this armchair, reproducing the big "ears" of the seatback and the large rounded arms with plissé finish, is even more stylish, and the book stand has been replaced with a brass tray. The armchair is available in a version with an ashtray or glass holder. In the version with the ashtray, the saucer arm swivels and is created from bronze in a golden or gunmetal grey finish. The plate is in Canaletto walnut wax treated, whilst the ashtray, which rests on top, is in brass in a golden or gunmetal grey finish and engraved with the Poltrona Frau logo. The wheels and other metal parts (plate arm, ashtray, and plate) are always matching, in the chosen finish: golden or gunmetal grey.
