Basket Rug Beige from Design House Stockholm is designed by Lena Bergström. The wool rug is handmade and created using a special hand tufting technique in different directions, which creates a three-dimensional expression. The rug is then hand-cut into a beautiful trompe l’oeil pattern reminiscent of birch bark baskets – a tribute to Swedish handicraft tradition. The rug's beautiful sheen comes from several differently coloured threads, which also contribute to the rug's dynamic effect. In Basket, hard lines meet soft transitions, resulting in a Scandinavian and timeless expression in a soft beige shade.
